Happy birthday Canada! Every year for Canada’s birthday I make and post a beaver tail smoothie bowl. Before I get into the smoothie, for those that are wondering what a beaver tail is, it’s a Canadian pastry. In honor of our 153rd birthday, I made a red and white smoothie bowl for breakfast. This is my most Canadian smoothie ever and it’s awesome!
I decided to make this as Canadian of a smoothie bowl as I could and include some beaver tail ingredients and a little maple syrup! I made it slightly different than last year.
Some of the health benefits – yes surprisingly there are some – include supporting skin and hair health, weight loss, and helping to fight infections
Canada Day beaver tail smoothie bowl

- 1 teaspoon natural maple syrup
- Ice
Toppings for decoration
- 1 tablespoon of shaved coconut
- Strawberries
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar for sprinkling
Note: The ingredients from a beaver tail are vanilla, milk and sugar (I took some liberties with how to work it into a vegan bowl!)
