Yippy skippy! That’s all I can say about this mixed berry ginger smoothie bowl. It’s as good as it looks, and healthy too – it’s so good that I had to make up a word for it (unless gingeriffic is in some dictionary)! Enough said. Mic drop.
Some of the health benefits of this recipe include helping with digestion, weight loss and muscle and nerve functioning.
Mixed berry ginger smoothie bowl recipe
- Makes: 1 serving
- Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients

- 1 cup almond milk or water
- A heaping cup of fresh or frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, I use Vega Sport plant-based protein
- 1.5 teaspoons coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Ice cubes if desired
Optional toppings:

- Handful of raspberries
- 1-2 tablespoons of blueberries
- Handful of raspberries
- 1 tablespoon of oats, Bob’s Red Mill are gluten-free
- 1/4 of a cacao bar, I use Equal Exchange’s Organic Very Dark Chocolate, it’s vegan, Kosher and soy-free
- Mint to garnish
Directions
Add all ingredients minus toppings into a blender and puree until smooth. Add toppings and serve.
