Vegan and gluten-free banana cacao smoothie bowl

Well, I call it simple, mostly because it takes five minutes to make, but there are a few ingredients that go in it that may not make it simple  It is packed with flavor and health benefits!

Banana cacao smoothie bowl

  • Makes: 2 servings
  • Total time: 5 minutes



  • 2 cups of cashew, almond or soy milk
  • 3 ripe bananas, fresh or frozen
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon of maca powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cacao nibs
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • Handful of goji berries
  • 1 teaspoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large pinches of sea salt
  • Ice if not using frozen bananas
Optional toppings
  • Tablespoon of cacao nibs
  • Tablespoon of shaved coconut
  • 1/4 cup of blueberries
  • Mint leaves


Combine ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Add optional toppings if using. Serve immediately.
