Even though it feels like summer is not coming in Toronto, I decided to go all out summer goodness with this smoothie bowl recipe!

The ingredients in it help support heart health, relieve some symptoms of stress, boost your immunity and lower cholesterol.

Bring back the summer green smoothie bowl recipe

  • Makes: 2 servings
  • Total time: 10 minutes



  • 1 1/2 – 2 cups unsweetened almond, soy or coconut milk
  • 1/4 ripe avocado
  • 2 medium frozen bananas
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries or raspberries
  • 2 large handfuls spinach
  • 1 small handful kale, large stems removed
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds

Toppings of your choice. These are the ones I used:


  • 1/4 cup of raspberries
  • Handful of pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 Kiwi
  • Small mango sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of coconut, shaved, chopped or slivered
  • 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
  • Handful of spinach
  • Mint leaves


Add all ingredients minus toppings into a blender and puree until smooth. Add toppings and enjoy!
