Having an off day? Try this quick exercise to think more positively


Sometimes when things aren’t going quite your way (I’m looking at you La Guardia airport from yesterday…and every other time I travel through there!) it can help to remind yourself of some good things.

Here’s a quick exercise to get your mind thinking more positively.

Write down or tell someone close to you about a time in the past year when you experienced a feeling of success or something that really energized you.

What things made this a positive experience for you?

I wrote about both of them since I had a lot of time on my hands sitting in an airport yesterday for six hours! I think it worked because when I finally did get on a plane, my favorite movie, The Princess Bride, was showing!
