Move over babies, it’s time for my skin to reign supreme as softest!

Cruise Barbados

I don’t think most of us, women or men, like to have rough or tired-looking skin. Acne, scars, blemishes, wrinkles and enlarged pores are some visible things that add to it. I’ve been on a mission to get my skin as soft as possible; and in the process, take over number one spot for soft skin from babies. Is it wrong to be in competition with babies that don’t even know they’re in one? I don’t think so. Hahaha!

If you’ve read some of my last few posts on skin, you know I’ve moved into using natural products. I’ve almost phased out all of my store bought products. There are so many products that promise smooth and flawless skin but they can be expensive, and some have harsh ingredients that can damage your skin.

Luckily, your skin can become smoother with the help of some readily available natural ingredients. Here some ways.

Overall tips

Find out if you are eating, wearing or using anything that is affecting your skin. Treat that first. Some things to look for are acne, dark circles under your eyes (one of the causes for this is a sinus problem), or a yellowish hue to your skin (kidney and liver issues are some organs that can cause this). Wrinkles can be caused by using products too harsh for your skin.

Drink lots of water, at least eight glasses a day. Water helps flush toxins out of the body. We all know this (yet I still don’t do it as often as I should).  Some tricks for water:

Add lemon to your water: It helps to detox your body, clears skin, aids with weight loss, balances your body’s ph, boosts the immune system, is a blood purifier, and helps with throat infections.

Drink green tea. Technically it’s not food, but a cup of green tea can keep wrinkles at bay. Studies have shown that green tea is 200 times more potent than Vitamin E for healing damaged skin.

For the face

Sam and Vin

Me and my brother, different skin types but can use some of the same products

Our skin is all different, what works for me and others, might not work for you, but these are easy and inexpensive, so it doesn’t hurt to see if they help. It will take some time to notice a difference, but if you create a routine and stick with it, you should see some.

These are some of my tips to make my skin baby soft. Do you have any to share? Do you have any natural body wash recipes you’ve tried that work?

    • Let me know if they work for you, give it a few weeks. My mom taught me about the tomatoes. It works for acne too, she had the pores, I ended up getting the acne! I just don’t want to spend the money anymore. I’m finding it didn’t help any more than what I’m doing now and in some cases less. Thanks so much 🙂
