Beef Kofta with Spaghetti Recipe

Do you relish the thought of creating an impressive dish for your guests? I love combining different types of food to see what I can create. This Beef Kofta with Spaghetti recipe blends Middle Eastern, Indian and Italian foods into one amazing meal! It’s been a hit every time I’ve served it now. Bonus, it’s gluten-free!

Serves 3-4 people

Ingredients

  • 540 g (16oz) extra lean ground beef
  • 227 g (8oz) gluten-free spaghetti

For beef binding

  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 3 green chilis finely chopped
  • Handful of coriander finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of potato or rice crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For sauce

  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 1/2 inch of fresh ginger grated
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2-3 green chilis minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1+1/2 tablespoon garam masala
  • Basil leaves to garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to the package.
  2. Combine the binding ingredients in a bowl and mix. Add in beef and shape as desired. Marinate for a minimum of one hour.
  3. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, frequently stirring for 3 minutes. Add sauce ingredients and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add in marinated beef and cook for approximately 15 minutes or until cooked through.
